The national aptitude test in architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for Architecture. It is one of the two qualifying exams for admission to B.Arch program. The other exam is JEE (Paper 2).

Who is eligible for NATA?
Any person who has

Obtained 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent / 10+3 Diploma.

Taken Physics, Chemistry, Maths as subject in 10+2 / 10+3 examination and has got 50% aggregate marks in those subjects.

The lower age limit of the candidate is 17 years as on 31.07.2020.

NATA is Computer cum Paper based exam. The Aptitude & Mathematics Test is a computer-based test. The Drawing Test is paper based test.

Part A - Drawing and Composition Test - Offline Test - 90 Minutes
A1 – 1 Question – Composition and Color -25 Marks
A2 - 1 Question – Sketching & Composition (Black and White)- 25 Marks
A3 – 1 Question - 3D Composition - 30 Marks
Total 3 Questions - 80 Marks

Part B - MCQ - Computer based online Test - 90 Minutes
B1 - 30 questions x 2 Marks - 60 Marks
B2 - 15 questions x 4 Marks -60 Marks
Total 45 Questions – 120 Marks
TOTAL MARKS: PART – A & PART – B = 200.

The candidates can appear for maximum of 3 attempts in NATA 2024 in one academic year. The best score out of all the attempts shall be considered for declaration of results. The score of NATA Test would be valid for a period of 2 academic years.

he advantages of Multiple Sessions in JEE (Main)- 2023 are as follows:

This will give multiple opportunities to the candidates to improve their scores in the examination if they fail to give their best in one attempt.

In first attempt, the students will get a first-hand experience of taking an examination and will know their mistakes which they can improve while attempting for the next time.

This will reduce the chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste a full year.

If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control (such as Board examination), then he/she will not have to wait for one full year.

A candidate need not appear in all the four Sessions. However, if candidate appears in more than one Session then his/her best of the 2021 NTA Scores will be considered for preparation of Merit List/ Ranking.

JEE (Main) 2022 Examination will be held in “Computer Based Test” (CBT) Mode only, except that the Drawing Test for B.Arch. will be held in “Pen and Paper” (offline) mode.

The Question Paper has been divided into two sections. There will be 90 Questions in the Paper 1 and candidate will be required to attempt 75 questions only. There will be no negative marking for 15 optional questions. Paper-wise details are as follows:

B.E./B.Tech. (Paper 1- To be conducted in all four sessions: Each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for Section B.

B. Arch. (Paper 2A)- To be conducted in February and May sessions: *Part -1 will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for Section B.

B. Planning (Paper 2B)- To be conducted in February and May sessions: * Part -1 will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for Section B.

Those candidates who wish to appear for Paper 2A as well as Paper 2B will have the duration of examination 3.30 hrs. i.e. from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
