UCEED Entrance Exam.
Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is conducted by IIT Bombay under the guidance of the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee every year to provide admission to eligible candidates to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at colleges accepting UCEED scores. UCEED is an examination of three hours duration that is typically conducted in the month of January every year. Merely appearing for the UCEED exam or securing a spot in the UCEED rank list does not guarantee admission to BDes programmes. Candidates who qualify the UCEED exam need to separately apply for admission as per the procedure prescribed by IIT Bombay. Admission to BDes courses is done based on merit in each category. The merit list is prepared based on the scores obtained by candidates in the written entrance exam.Aspirants can go through UCEED statistics and develop an idea of the high competition level in the design entrance exam. UCEED : Key changes you must know UCEED Exam Centres: The test centres of UCEED has been decreased to 24 this year compared to 25 in 2020. IIT Bombay will now conduct UCEED 2022 exam in 24 cities in India only. The concerned authorities has removed the UCEED exam international test centre at Dubai. Increase UCEED participating institutes: The number of UCEED participating institutes has been increased. IIT Delhi is all set to offer B.Des course to the aspirants through UCEED 2022. UCEED Exam Pattern 2022: There has been changes in the marking scheme of UCEED Part A - Multiple Select Question (MSQ) . Number of questions in MSQ remain same, however, there is a changed in marking scheme.
+4 marks will be awarded if all the correct options are chosen for each question.
+3 marks will be given only if three options are chosen out of four correct options and no incorrect answer chosen.
+2 marks will be awarded if three or more options are correct but chosen only two options and none of the incorrect option are selected.
+1 mark will be allotted if only one option is chosen out of two or more correct options and and none of the incorrect options are chosen.
Zero (0) mark to the attempted question.
-1 for incorrect answers.
UCEED Exam Pattern - Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay prescribed the UCEED 2022 exam pattern which includes all the parameters of the entrance test. Aspiring students are advised to go through the exam pattern of UCEED thoroughly so that they can prepare for the entrance test accordingly. According to the UCEED 2022 exam pattern, there are two-parts in the UCEED question paper - Part A and Part B. UCEED Exam Pattern - Part A and Marking schem.
Number of Sections: According to the UCEED exam pattern, the question booklet contains a total of three sections.
Mode of the examination: As per the exam pattern of UCEED exam pattern, UCEED Part A will be conducted in online mode whereas Part B will be held in pen and paper mode.
Total Number of Questions: A total of 68 questions will be asked in UCEED Part A.
Type of Questions: In accordance with the UCEED exam pattern, there are three sections. Section 1 will consist of numerical answer type questions, Section 2 will contain multiple select questions (MCQs) and Section 3 consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Medium of Language of Question Paper: The medium of the language for UCEED question paper is English.
UCEED Exam Pattern - Part B
The question of the Part-B will be displayed on the computer screen, however, candidates have to answer in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator only. In Part B, there will be only one question and candidates have 30 minutes to solve the question.
The invigilator will collect the booklet at the end of the exam
It is mandatory for the candidates to answer Part B questions.

Exam Syllabus 2022
UCEED 2022 syllabus comprises all the topics which the questions of the entrance exam will be framed. Aspiring students must go through the UCEED syllabus 2022 to understand the important topics for the entrance exam. UCEED syllabus for both Part A and Part B is given below.

UCEED Syllabus for Visualisation & Spatial Ability: Candidates should practice pictorial and diagrammatic questions. It is important to have knowledge of practical and everyday mechanical and scientific concepts. Sun Design NATA / NID / NIFT / UCEED / CEED Candidates should have an understanding of transformation and/or manipulation of 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships. UCEED Syllabus for Observation & Design Sensitivity: Candidates appearing for the exam should have the ability to detect concealed properties in ordinary things, people, situations, and events. They should also be able to think critically about them. It is also essential for test-takers to have the ability to discern subtle differences in visual properties and aesthetic outcomes. UCEED aspirants should also have an eye for details. They should also have abilities such as analysing, reasoning, classifying, inferring and predicting. UCEED Syllabus for Environmental & Social Awareness: It is a plus point if candidates are well aware of environmental factors such as climate, population, water, vegetation, pollution, weather, natural resources etc. They should also be aware of the implications of these environmental factors on the design of products, images, infrastructure, and environment. Awareness of the history of art, sculpture, and literature is essential. Candidates are also expected to be aware of the social and cultural connection with the design, history of the designed artefact, and socially responsible and environmentally sustainable design responses. UCEED Syllabus for Analytical & Logical Reasoning: Candidates should possess the ability to look at information (be it qualitative or quantitative in nature) and discern patterns within the information. They should have the ability to weigh opinions, arguments or solutions against appropriate criteria. Sun Design NATA / NID / NIFT / UCEED / CEED They should also have the ability to check for hidden bias or hidden assumptions and whether evidence and argument support conclusions. Aspirants should be able to use logic and structured thinking to deduce from a short passage, which of a number of statements is the most accurate response to a posed question. Going through Data Interpretation, brainteasers, and patterns can be an advantage. UCEED Syllabus for Language & Creativity Candidates are also expected to have the ability to understand and use standard English. They should have knowledge of English grammar such as sentence structure and usage, the use of tenses, verb patterns, articles, and active and passive constructions, etc. Reading comprehension & vocabulary skills. Aspirants should be able to think creatively in terms of alternatives, the ability to distinguish innovative options and think out of the box. UCEED Syllabus for Design Thinking & Problem Solving Candidates should have the ability to use visual analogies, metaphors, signs, and symbols. They should also be able to understand complexity, identify the problem, generate alternatives, evaluate options and select solutions. UCEED 2022 Syllabus for Drawing Candidates should be well versed with the drawing of pictures, scenes, people with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective and shading.
UCEED Result and Rank List
IIT Bombay will declare the UCEED result on March 10. Along with the UCEED result, students who will qualify will be able to download their scorecards which will also be released along with the result. UCEED Score Card Candidates who will qualify entrance test will be able to download the UCEED score card from the official website. UCEED 2022 scores will be valid for one year from the date of the result declaration. The steps to download the UCEED scorecard is the same as the result except that scorecard can be downloaded for admission purposes by only candidates who have qualified and awarded a rank.UCEED 2022 Rank list The rank list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks (Part-A and Part-B combined) obtained in UCEED 2022. There will be only ONE rank list. Candidates can however check their provisional category-wise rank from the results page. Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part-B.
Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in section 2 of Part-A.

If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

Students have to enter the personal, educational and contact details in the registration form and also fill the institutes according to their choice. Once candidates accept the seat at the time of UCEED 2022 seat allotment, then they have to confirm their admission by paying the necessary fee. Seat allotment will be announced in three rounds. Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of UCEED scores and choice of institutes as entered by them. Provisional letters will be sent to selected students on their registered email IDs. Thereafter they must pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 60,000 (Rupees Sixty Thousand Only) for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL and Rs. 15,000 (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) for SC/ST/PwD through an online payment system Guidelines for UCEED 2022 seat allotment are:
Selected candidates should remit the seat acceptance fee before the given deadline or decline the admission else their application will stand cancelled.
Candidates who are allotted their first choice of institute can either ACCEPT (‘freeze’) the choice or DECLINE the offer.
Candidates who have been allotted their second or third choice of institute can opt to either ACCEPT (‘freeze’) the choice, or ACCEPT WITH THE OPTION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR UPWARD MOVEMENT (‘float’) the choice for subsequent rounds.
Candidates who choose, "Freeze" cannot participate in further rounds.
Candidates who have opted for "Float", indicate that, if admission to an institute of their higher preference is offered, they will accept it. Else, they will continue with the currently accepted institute. Such candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission and need not pay the acceptance fee again.
The seat acceptance fee will be adjusted with the institute fee at the time of admissions.
Candidates who have paid the seat acceptance fee and withdraw from the UCEED 2022 counselling can claim refund wherein Rs 3000 will be dedcuted as processing charges and the rest refunded. Refund will only be processed till the third round. Thereafter no such claim will be entertained by the authorities.
Withdrawal is not allowed after the announcement of the third round of UCEED 2022 seat allotment.

UCEED EXAM Eligibility Criteria:
In this section, we provide the UCEED 2022 Eligibility Criteria. Candidates must have required following criteria for the apply the UCEED Exam. Nationality:
Indian and Foreign national candidates can apply for the UCEED Admission 2022. 10% of seats are reserved for foreign candidates.
UCEED Exam Age Limit:
Candidate must have been born on or after 1st October 1997, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category, and born on or after 1st October 1992 if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.
UCEED Exam Qualifying Examination:
Only those who have completed their class 12th or equivalent in 2021 and 2022 can apply for the examination. On the contrary, those who have appeared for the first time in the qualifying exam in the year 2021 or prior to it cannot apply for the exam
Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.
UCEED Exam Number of attempts:
It is only two consecutive times that any candidate can apply for IIT UCEED. It is also crucial to know that scores are applicable for only one year and also for admission to the corresponding academic year

Now you will receive mail & SMS on your registered ID and no.
Click on the link given & log in using login credentials.
After that, fill in all other asked & required details such as qualification details, address, etc.
Upload passport size photograph, signature, and other documents.
Verify the given details. After verification, proceed to submit the application fee.
Once the fee will get submitted, click on the “submit” option.
Now the confirmation page will appear on your computer screen.
Take the printout of your confirmation page.
